Presidio Coastal Trail (Completed Spring 2012)

Presidio Coastal Trail

Overlook Walls and Stairs

The Battered Walls and Stairs of the Golden Gate Overlook have been poured and stripped of their forms. (This work was done by our sub-contractor, Golden Bay Construction)

New Trail

We have moved to carving out the section of trail that parallels Lincoln Blvd. This is a beautiful stretch that meanders through the forest and past a wetland.

A Beautiful Place to Work

Soon the public will be able to enjoy these views as well.

The Golden Gate Overlook is taking form through Golden Bay Construction

Extension Trail

An extension trail was added to our Presidio Coastal Trail & Golden Gate Overlook project, in order to make a smooth transition from the new work, created by Campbell Grading, Inc., to the existing trail that parallels Lincoln Blvd and the ocean. The trail also addresses the erosion problem caused from the street run-off.

H-beam Wall Moving Along

The H-beam wall beams have been put in place and the wall has been backfilling with gravel wrapped with fabric.

Golden Gate Overlook Structural Slab and Formwork

The form work is underway at the Golden Gate Overlook and the structural slab for the stone has been poured.

Golden Bay Construction, our subcontractor, poured 117 cubic yards of concrete for the structural slab at the Golden Gate Overlook.

H-beam Wall Progression

We have continued with building the H-beam wall for the Presidio Coastal Trail and Golden Gate Overlook. The following pictures show our progression over the last week.

The holes for the I-beams were drilled.

These piles are the soil that was drilled out of the I-beam holes.

Construction has Begun at the Most Southern End of the Presidio Coastal Trail and Golden Gate Overlook Project
