Presidio Coastal Trail (Completed Spring 2012)

Bay Area Ridge Trail

Bay Area Ridge Trail Completed

The newest section of the Bay Area Ridge Trail (BART) is completed. It is a segment that runs from the Rob Hill Campgrounds (beginning at the end of Central Magazine Road) to Park Blvd, where it meets up with the existing multi-use (MUT) section of the BART. The trail will be a combination of MUT and outdoor accessible. The trail meanders through a beautiful serene forest.

Tree Protection

Campbell Grading does not take tree protection lightly. Many trees on this section of trail are wrapped in wattles in order protect their trunks. Days of  digging by hand must be done in order to guarantee that the trees along the trail are not compromised.

Park Tread™ Surfacing at the Bay Area Ridge Trail

Park Tread™ surfacing is being used on this section of the Bay Area Ridge Trail, giving the trail a natural look.

New Section of the Bay Area Ridge Trail (BART) Underway in the Presidio

Work has begun on a new section of the Bay Area Ridge Trail, a 500+ mile trail planned to connect all corners of the Bay Area with a continuoes loop trail. Over 335 miles have already been constructed.
